These sturdy, fast-absorbing pants feature built-in sun protection and roll-up legs – the perfect solution for your active days in the sun.
The Columbia Silver Ridge hiking pants are UV UPF 50 protective, which is a perfect point I find. In the summer, we wore sunscreen, so if our clothes can also have sun protection, it’s ideal.
Thanks to the Omni-Wick technology the fabric quickly wicks sweat, it is very ventilated I found and never got too hot with it.
It is a soft, light fabric that weighs almost nothing; it is barely felt on the skin. Despite this, it is quite robust, and after sitting around everywhere hiking on the buttocks nothing to report, it seems to hold the shock without worries.
At the machine washing level, nothing to report, just that it dries very quickly. So during the bivouacs, if you wash it, it squeezed very quickly ready to be worn again.
One can adjust the size thanks to elastics with a button to slide in different holes. Thus one can tighten or loosen the waist without it being seen from the inside. We find ourselves with hiking pants correctly adjusted to its morphology.
